The Bunt Grass

Bunt Grass (Corynephorus canescens) is a perennial forming dense pollen belonging to various grasses (Gramineae or Poaceae). The species is well adapted to dry conditions. The plant is native to western Europe from southern Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. The plant is so distasteful that he does not even eaten by sheep.

The gray-blue-green plant is 10-35 cm high and is not rhizomes. The leaf sheaths are reddish-purple, slightly rough and hairless. The sharp tongue is 2 mm long. The very stiff, brush-shaped leaves are rolled silvery gray green and rough. They are about 0.5 mm wide and 6 inches long.
