In some Muslim societies, this celebration is also known as the "Sweet Celebration" or "Little Celebration." First Eid ul-Fitr was celebrated in 624 AD by the prophet Muhammad (Muhammad) and their relatives and friends in rejoicing for the victory at the Battle of Badr.
Type of ceremony
During the month of Ramadan Muslims must abstain from smoking, eating, drinking, having sex from before sunrise till dusk. The festival of Eid ul-Fitr celebrates the end of fasting as well as the strength that Muslims believe they have received from Allah to be able to run it. Like other Muslim celebration begins as the sighting of new moon.
This festival is marked with a communal prayer at mid-morning, usually held in parks or fairgrounds, since the mosques do not have room for so many people.
Before starting the prayer the congregation recites the Takbir, a prayer that praises God's greatness. After the prayer followed by a sermon (khutba) and a special prayer asking for forgiveness and help to all Muslims of the world.
Tradition is the realization of a great lunch (the first Muslims to take lunch after the fast day of a month), usually at the home of an older relative. Children receive gifts, which may be new clothes or money.
